Guidelines due to the new

Coronavirus

We follow the development

Best Transport keeps up to date with he development of the new coronavirus (covid-19) and closely follows the recommendations of the Public Health Authority and the actions that our authorities are now taking. For Best Transport, it is extremely important to do everything we can to minimize the spread of infection. At the same time, it is important for our society and not least for the healthcare system that logistics and transport services continue to function as usual.

Our responsibility

Best Transport carries out a large number of deliveries every day and our drivers meet senders and recipients in different environments. For us, it is very important that we take our responsibility for the goods until they have been acknowledged by the recipient. Our procedures for acknowledgment of receipt (POD) include an element where the recipient signs the delivery on the driver's screen. In the situation we are now in, where both companies and private individuals should work together to limit the spread of infection, Best Transport has established a temporary routine for acknowledgment of receipt (POD).

Temporary routine for acknowledgment of receipt (POD)

The temporary routine is applied immediately, which means that we from now on (but for a limited time) avoid signatures on the driver's screen. For assignments and deliveries with specific instructions, the regular delivery process applies.

The driver will now document the recipient's first and last name. At the same time, the exact position and time of delivery is logged and saved. By implementing this routine, Best Transport can continue to deliver safe deliveries while simultaneously reducing the risk of spreading the infection.

Guidelines for reducing the spread of infection

  • At the slightest hint of symptoms (cough, sore throat, coryza or fever) our drivers should stay at home.
  • Drivers should ensure good hand hygiene. They should use hand sanitizer when there is no access to soap and water.
  • We are expanding the cleaning routines in our vehicles as well as at our terminals.
  • We avoid rotating vehicles, one vehicle = one driver.
  • At delivery, drivers must keep at least 1.5 meters (where possible) distance from the receiver.
  • Gloves should be worn by drivers at pick up and delivery.
